Dear (fill in the blank)

Dear Fall,

I love you. Please don't tell the other seasons, but you are my favorite. You are pleasant with your (mostly) mild days and cool, crisp nights. You are beautiful with your vibrant, changing leaves of red, orange, yellow. You are noisy (in a wonderful way) with the crunch of the fallen leaves under my feet and the crackling of the fire place. You are fun with your pumpkins, festivals, apple picking, leaf peeping, baking, gingerbread houses and costumes. You smell amazing with spiced pumpkin and cinnamon, apple pies, and spiced cider. And your taste, oh your taste, do I even need to list those?

And Fall, do you want to know a mommy secret? I love that I can act like a little kid during fall. I too can run in the leaves, scoop them up, throw them high, decorate gingerbread houses, and carve pumpkins. You are wonderful Fall.

So in your honor, I've found some of my favorite fall pictures.

Longing for a Vermont fall again,

Mommy
